The Gilbert boys cross country team captured its second straight Class 3A state title this fall. It’s the program’s fifth state crown in the past 11 seasons. Head coach Aaron Thomas and his squad set an all-time 3A scoring record, and put up the lowest point total since cross country shifted to four classes nearly 20 years ago.
