Leadership and service, two things we pride ourselves on at Gilbert Schools. And what we have here is an example of our Gilbert Intermediate 5th graders succeeding at both.
Guided by the Lighthouse Leadership team, our 5th graders are again holding a Winter Warmth Drive through next Wednesday, December 18.
The goal of the Lighthouse team is to collect 100+ new or gently used cold weather items for children and adults during the winter time.
The class is looking for donations such as coats, hats, gloves/mittens, snow pants, and snow boots that could help those in need this winter season.
If you would like to make a donation of any of these items, simply drop the items off at Gilbert Intermediate sometime through next Wednesday, December 18.
We are so incredibly proud of our 5th graders for taking on this service project each year, and we continue to be proud of our community for its never-ending generosity.
