Student Assistance Program

All of our students at Gilbert Schools have access to the Student Assistance Program (SAP), which provides free and confidential sessions with counselors.

The SAP program is designed for assessment, counseling and referral. The counselors help explore issues and assist students to work through them, offering coping skills as well as recommendations and referrals for services outside of the SAP sessions.

How Can You Utilize The SAP?

Backpack Buddies Program

Supported by Friends of the Gilbert Community School District, this program provides nutritious meals and snacks for students to take home in their backpacks every Friday. The sacks are discreetly placed in the children’s backpacks at school to be taken home.

Gilbert students who are in need of meals on weekends and holidays may participate in this program. No other specific qualifications are required.
