Superintendent Note – Feb 2019

A reminder that on February 16, 1019 the Gilbert Education Foundation will host the Luau for Learning Rock Hop. 4:30 – 6:00 will be games, 4:30 – 7:00 Silent Auction, 6:00 – 7:00 Buffet Dinner and 7:00 – 9:45 Live Auction. The cost is $40.00 per person and includes dinner.  This is a terrific fundraiser for the Foundation and the proceeds from it are funneled back into the school to help us buy items that help Gilbert students stay current.

Please mark your calendar for the Middle School production of Little Mermaid, Jr. on March 7th & 8th,  2019, at 7:00 pm in the High School Auditorium. Come out and enjoy our Middle School thespians.  About seventy students are participating in the production with many more helping with sets, costumes and props.

On Friday, February 15th the GIFA will host the Fire & Ice Gala 7:00 – 10:30 at the Prairie Moon Winery. This is the fund-raiser for the Gilbert Fire and Rescue Department.  It is not a school affiliated fundraiser, but I am including it because we are grateful for their presence in town and support their efforts.

We have several games coming up so if you have been kept inside long enough with this cold, venture out and cheer on the Tigers.  We also have some music concerts in February so mark those dates on your calendar and support our fine arts students. We hope our speech students “break a leg” at State Speech this weekend.
