Superintendent Note – March 2019
Next week our high school will have their Choir Concert and we still have the Night of Jazz coming up, so come support our fine arts students in these endeavors. We also have the middle school musical The Little Mermaid, Jr. next week, March 8th and 9th, at 7:00 in the auditorium. Seventy students are participating in the musical, along with many others helping backstage. Our boys and girls basketball teams both ended up one game away from qualifying for the state tournament, and our wrestling team sent three wrestlers to the state tournament. A very exciting time for athletics over this snowy winter. Most of the spring sports are now underway and the spring play has been cast and is being practiced.
Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up on March 11th and 14th. Sign up times are available on the website for individual teachers. Following those, we are already to Spring Break!
Construction on our projects approved with the last bond issue continue. You have probably seen the various trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment around the high school and middle school. It is amazing to me to watch these crews work in these elements. We are looking forward to sharing some of the plans for the new rooms as we get closer to finishing the buildings. Some of these spaces will greatly enhance the curriculum we are able to offer here in the district, and we look forward to progressing toward our goals for this project.
