The Hunger Hero award is a grant given to a very special school food service program. This award goes to only five in the nation! This person has gone above and beyond to put a smile on a child’s face while serving nutritious and delicious meals. Gilberts, Miss. Kris, at the Intermediate School, received this very deserving award. In April, an assembly was held to surprise her, and the students sang her a very special song they wrote for her.
