On Tuesday, March 1st, 3rd and 4th graders were able to show off their music skills to a packed auditorium full of parents, grandparents, and community members. Students showed off different games they play in class, songs they sing, and instruments they have learned to play.

The students gave an amazing performance! Huge thank you to everyone who showed up, all the students for working so hard, and our amazing music teacher who put this all together!

In a letter to all district families, Gilbert Schools Superintendent, Dr. Christine Trujillo announced Mrs. Cindy Bassett has agreed to continue in her role as the principal of Gilbert High School for the 2022-2023 school year. Read more from Dr.Trujillo’s announcement. 

The Intermediate school was planning on celebrating “Twos day” on Tuesday, February, 22nd, 2022 (02/22/22) with a twins day for students. Due to a snow day on Tuesday, we pushed our celebration to Wednesday!

Students were so excited to match with their friends!

Over the weekend, 9 Gilbert students participated in the DECA State Career Development Conference in Des Moines. There were 50 different events that students could choose to participate in.

Gilbert students competed in the following categories:

• Addison Hodgen – Apparel and Accessories Marketing – 5th Place
• Alissa Clark – Accounting Applications – 5th Place; Financial Consulting – 3rd Place
• Braelyn Thomas – Food Marketing – 1st Place; Professional Selling – 4th Place
• Elle Nguyen – Apparel and Accessories Marketing
• Aldo Escalera – Food Marketing – 4th Place; Professional Selling – 3rd Place
• Kalyn Schmidt and Alice Zhang – Marketing Management Team – 4th Place
• Joey Currans and Nash Hanson – Finance Team – 1st Place

Joey Currans, Nash Hanson and Braelyn Thomas all qualified for ICDC (International Career Development Conference)  and will be traveling to Atlanta, GA, in April.
