Healthier US Bronze Award (Fall 2017)

Gilbert Elementary and Gilbert Intermediate Schools were awarded the Bronze award, given by the Iowa Department of Education to schools who met criteria with an exceptional emphasis on healthy good choices and promoting physical activity.

Iowa Report Card School Ratings (Fall 2017)

Gilbert High and Middle school both received EXCEPTIONAL ratings, while the Intermediate School received the HIGH PERFORMING rating, by the Iowa Department of Education. This is the 3rd year that the Department has rated individual schools based on a set criteria. Gilbert Intermediate Recognized by DoE for Special Ed (Fall 2017)

Gilbert Intermediate School was recognized by the IA Department of Education for such a high proficiency rate in the area of special education. Read the article from the Department of Education HERE. Congratulations to all Gilbert School employees, working hard for Every Student, Every Day.

Gilbert Intermediate Awarded the Breaking Barriers Award (Spring 2018)

Gilbert Intermediate School received the Breaking Barriers Award from the Iowa State Board of Education this past January! Out of all of Iowa, Gilbert Intermediate was one of five schools chosen to receive this award. The Breaking Barriers Award recognizes schools who work to raise the achievement level of students who typically struggle.
